◊ This Redwood MadMoose Picture Frame is sized to fit a photo, print, or mounted canvas up to 3/4” thick in the frame size you select. So if you want an 8x10 frame, from the drop-down menu select a length of 10" and a width of 8". With the width and length combinations in the drop-downs, there are over 150 frame sizes in this listing.

◊ The boards that make up the frame are approximately 1.25" wide x 1" thick.

◊ The front opening will be about ⅜” smaller than the frame size

◊ The wood has been milled as smoothly as possible to improve the appearance and soften the lines, and then it is finished with a hand-rubbed hard wax oil, which creates a soft glow and an astonishingly smooth feel.

◊ The character is either natural or is from the wood's previous use; we do not add any distressing or character; the appearance will vary from board to board and frame to frame, and will show off signs of previous use such as lots of color variation, nail & other fastener holes, insect tracks, knots, open knots, staining, traces of paint, size variation & etc.—differences in this character will make each frame unique

◊ The boards are glued at the miters with hidden splines, which is more similar to fine furniture than standard picture frame construction. 

◊ Includes 1/8" thick clear acrylic, also known as plexiglass.

◊ A 1/4" thick plywood backer board is included, which is held in place with heavy-duty spring clips. These allow for easy access to add or change pictures and can be used repeatedly without risk of breaking.

◊ For easy hanging, we attach a saw tooth hanger in both horizontal and vertical orientations. On sizes where the width and length add up to 20" or less, a table stand is included, which can easily be removed and reattached.

◊ Each frame is individually crafted and signed by the Artisan who created it.

◊ If you need a size between full-inch increments, select the full-inch option, then add the actual dimension you need in the order notes. So if you need a length of 10.75", then select 10" on the length and in the notes tell us the actual length is 10.75".
